About Us
WELCOME TO
Woodstock Law Firm, P.A.
At Woodstock Law Firm, P.A., we believe that every family deserves a plan that protects what they have worked so hard to build. Whether you are purchasing your first home, creating a trust for your family, or navigating the probate process after the loss of a loved one, our mission is to provide trusted legal guidance with compassion, integrity, and excellence.
I am Shantel A. Woodstock, Esq., founder of Woodstock Law Firm, P.A. For more than nine (9) years, I have dedicated my practice to helping individuals and families throughout Florida with real estate, estate planning, and probate. I often describe these three practice areas as the A.P.D. of Property Ownership:
Acquire
Every legacy begins with acquiring assets. Through our real estate and title services, we help buyers, sellers, investors, and lenders successfully navigate residential and commercial real estate transactions. Whether you are purchasing your dream home, selling investment property, or refinancing, we work diligently to ensure your closing is smooth, efficient, and protected from start to finish.
Protect
Acquiring wealth is only the beginning. Protecting it is where thoughtful planning makes all the difference.
Estate planning is far more than preparing legal documents—it is creating a personalized roadmap for your family and your future. We design comprehensive estate plans that help preserve your assets, minimize unnecessary court involvement, protect loved ones, and ensure your wishes are honored.
Our customized plans may include:
Revocable and Irrevocable Trusts
Last Will and Testament
Durable Powers of Attorney
Healthcare Surrogate Designations
Living Wills
Preneed Guardian Designations
Asset Protection Planning
Legacy and Wealth Preservation Strategies
Every family is unique, and every estate plan should be too.
Distribute
Unfortunately, many families first learn the importance of estate planning during probate.
While probate is an important part of our practice, it is the area that reminds me most why proactive planning matters. When someone passes away without the proper legal protections in place, loved ones are often left navigating court proceedings, delays, legal expenses, and unnecessary stress during an already difficult time.
Although it is our privilege to guide families through probate with compassion and care, our ultimate goal is to help clients avoid as much of that burden as possible through proper planning long before it becomes necessary.
A Personal Reason I Believe in Estate Planning
My passion for estate planning is not based solely on my legal experience—it is also deeply personal.
Several years ago, a family member was involved in a tragic automobile accident. Although he was not at fault, the driver of the other vehicle sadly lost his life. Because his parents owned the vehicle he was driving, they became potential targets of a lawsuit.
Before any lawsuit was filed, the parents were asked to complete a financial affidavit disclosing their assets. They answered honestly. At the time, the majority of their assets had already been transferred into their trust as part of their own estate planning.
While no estate plan can eliminate every possible legal claim, having their affairs organized and their assets properly titled demonstrated that they had taken proactive steps to protect their family’s financial future. After the financial affidavit was submitted, they never heard anything further regarding the threatened lawsuit.
That experience reinforced something I now share with every client:
Estate planning is not just about what happens after you pass away. It provides meaningful benefits during your lifetime by creating organization, privacy, clarity, and an added layer of protection that can discourage unnecessary disputes and litigation.
Protecting Families Is Personal
As a mother of four, I understand firsthand that protecting your family is about much more than finances.
For parents of young children, we create Minor Security Plans that ensure your children will be cared for by the people you choose if the unexpected happens. For parents of young adults, we create Young Adult Security Plans that allow you to continue making decisions after your children’s 18th birthday.
For families with adult children, we develop planning strategies designed to preserve family wealth, protect inheritances from future creditors, divorce, and lawsuits where appropriate, and create lasting legacies for future generations.
No matter your stage of life, every plan we create is tailored to your family’s goals, values, and future.
More Than Legal Documents—A Legacy
Estate planning is not simply about drafting wills and trusts.
It is about protecting your family.
It is about preserving everything you have worked so hard to build.
It is about creating peace of mind today while leaving a lasting legacy for tomorrow.
At Woodstock Law Firm, P.A., we are honored to walk alongside our clients through every stage of property ownership—helping them Acquire, Protect, and Distribute their assets with confidence.
We look forward to helping you protect your family, preserve your legacy, and plan for the future with confidence.
